Total of 16 Participating teams divided into brackets A,B,C, and D fights for honor and glory. Each team is given 3 games in the elimination rounds.

May 02, 2008 -Elimination rounds : ARMAS is set to battle it out with Mistah Forces, Magdalo Seal Team and SWAT under bracket “D”.

ARMAS started it out very slow with their first game losing against Mistah Forces. Mistah gathered 10 points and ARMAS with just 5 points. This loss brought ARMAS to the lowest rank in the elimination round. Therefore their second and third games are both crucial and the team must get maximum points to stay alive.

Game 2 is set, ARMAS versus Magdalo – this is the deciding factor as the team sees they are the toughest in the bracket. Magdalo got 195 points on their first game, an almost perfect game against the SWAT team. The wolves must go out and stop Magdalo and get at least 150points.

Count down started and the battle unfolds, with one thing in mind “Do or Die”, the pack got wild and eliminated all the opposing forces within just half of the allotted time. The wolves of ARMAS got 190points, 10 points off the perfect game and Magdalo grab 50 points by sweeping the 40 flag point and kills.

May 09, 2008- Second day of the tournament.

ARMAS is scheduled to face SWAT in their third and final game of the Elimination. With Magdalo having 250 points out of their 3 games and Mistah Forces having a total of 230 points against the total 195 points for the 2 games of ARMAS, the wolves must get at least 55 points this time to enter the quarter finals.

The win from the second game gave ARMAS much more comfort, as the wolves believed they’ve been through a tougher opponent and pulled it off. So everyone is optimistic in the 3rd game. Never the less SWAT will not give this game easy as they are also aiming for a perfect game to qualify for the quarter finals. But ARMAS deep motivation and aggressiveness stopped their hopes. The wolves early attacks, and advancement in ground positions gave the team 195 points by grabbing all the flag points and hitting all who comes on the way. This game gave them a total of 390 points and spearheaded bracket “D” to the quarter finals.

Meanwhile, the other teams battles it out.

Under bracket “A” the defending champion FEAR leads with 430 points together with PARAK having 415 points, as PARAK got 200 points by default, as DUNES didn’t showed up.

Black Scorpion leads bracket “B” with 365 points along with Ghost Recon’s 345 points.

The Three Legged Lions TAU is showing “No Mercy” to anyone who gets in their path- leading bracket “C” with an impressive 570 points , both game 1 and game 3 are perfect games. With them is team Black Paw’s 390 points who don’t want to be left behind with perfect game 1 and almost perfect game 2 as well.

PARAK – 415 points
Black Paw – 390 points

Quarter finals had commenced, each team has now 2 games each, plus the winning team will get additional 50 points.

ARMAS re-shuffling of buddies in the last minute resulted in more casualties and loss for the wolves. The last minute sudden changes and adjustments suffered the team 60 points losing to PARAK’s 130 points.

Magdalo on the other hand won their first game against Black Paw with a perfect score of 250 points making them the leading team of bracket “B” while Black Paw gathered 15 points from the match.

The second match is scheduled.

Again ARMAS is set to challenge Magdalo for the second time. Magdalo is aiming for this crucial game to secure the seat for the finals as well as to take revenge for their loss against the wolves in the elimination. While ARMAS must get up from the previous loss they suffered from PARAK and must beat Magdalo in this second encounter and harvest all the points as much as they can to secure a place in the next level.

On Bracket “A”, depending champions- FEAR continue to bash their opponents making them the first team to enter the finals with a total of 495 points out of 2 games, just missed 5 points & almost perfect games. The loss of the mighty “TRISKELIONS” from team FEAR 245 points against their 25 points made them hanging on thin air. The loss from team FEAR darkens their future, as it was their lowest score ever in the tournament which got the other teams surprised by this sudden collapse.

Continuing on the struggle in bracket “A” – Ghost Recon and Black Scorpion must go head to head to decide who will be the rightful team to represent bracket “A” along with the defending champs FEAR.

Outsmarting and early attacks in the opening minutes gave the Ghosts early advantage in the game. The swift and deadly attacks of Ghost Recon were seen on the last 3 minutes of the game, sweeping all the points and killing all opposing forces. Ghost Recon’s impressive 200 points in this game against 15 points of Black Scorpion gave them the passage to the Finals.

May 16, 2008 – Last day of Operation Liberty –“Judgment Day”

Toss of Coin – Magdalo got “HOME” and ARMAS “AWAY”

The wolves learned their lessons very well from their previous losses. Taicho see’s the loss from Mistah Forces is due to lack of communication and aggressiveness early on, while the loss to PARAK is from the re-shuffling and sudden changes of tasks and positions in the last minute before deployment. Taicho’s good analysis and clever tactics of how he should deploy his pack in this battle is well prepared for days. The groupings of the wolves which gave them victories from the past games shouldn’t be changed as they see it. The leader of the pack’s killing formula: the three fastest front liners to grab positions on the left flank are – Abu Adam, Battle and Arbab protected by Abu Abbas massive suppressing fire. Taicho deploys the other pack in the right flank being Scout to assault, Tibor and Tomdee behind him and GT to provide cover. Taicho stays behind in the middle and holds the key, along with him is another fast running wolf- Head Crasher whom he can deploy and send anywhere.

This formula gave them their second victory against Magdalo. ARMAS grabbed 180 points and Magdalo grabbed 50 points and getting a total of 300 points out of 2 games giving them the assurance to enter the Finals.

The fight is not yet over in bracket “B” as Black Paw and PARAK must go head to head and surpass ARMAS’s 240 points. Black Paw must get as much points as they can to enter the Finals together with Magdalo while PARAK only needs at least 120 points.

Black Paw’s broad experience in battle ended PARAK’s dreams of entering the finals by nailing them to just 35 points. Though PARAK was able to hold Black Paw’s attempt to get the maximum points, Black Paw gathered 145 points from the win which didn’t reach the total points of ARMAS.

The Final Showdown

FEAR, Ghost Recon, Magdalo and ARMAS must battle it out in a 2 game showdown to decide who will be crowned Champions of Operation: Liberty.

The game scheduled as follows.
Fear vs. Ghost Recon
ARMAS vs. Magdalo
Fear vs. ARMAS
Magdalo vs. Ghost Recon

First game of the Finals is defending champions FEAR up against Ghost Recon. Team FEAR good communications and battle experience gave them an edge. Even though some of Ghost Recon’s warriors are not that of experience, they gave FEAR a hard time in the opening minutes, unfortunately they were not able to hold it off for the rest of the game. FEAR made their moves and break their defenses and gathered 210 points against Ghost’s 100 points.

Second game of the Finals is ARMAS versus Magdalo – their third encounter. The toss of coin resulted again in the same result, Magdalo getting the most chosen position “HOME” and the wolves are set to start again from “AWAY”. Having played and beaten this team twice, the wolves are more confident this time around even they got “AWAY”. Magdalo still thirsty for revenge took the positions early on, but the leader of the pack already knows the counter for this moves. Taicho’s good mixing of squads and continuous harassment from left and right flanks made their opponent confused where to concentrate their forces. At the end the wolves have over run their opponents giving them a near perfect game of 240 points to lead the tournament and out scoring FEAR while Magdalo gathered 65 points from the match.

The third game is the most awaited match everyone wants to see. FEAR – the defending champions, which shown impressive game results and with no loss since day one is up against ARMAS.

Will the wolves able to stop them?

This is the question in everyone’s mind. If FEAR wins this game they will be the undefeated champs while ARMAS aims to prove to the airsoft community that they can challenge anyone and only not they are known for high power weapons but the wolves can hunt in pack in full aggressive force.

The battle for supremacy has started, the defending champs got the “HOME” position and the wolves keeps on getting the “AWAY” position on every toss coin in their last games. As the horn started, the wolves started to scattered in the field. Having played this position for 3 consecutive games, every wolf has mastered their chosen position and task. BB’s started flying in all directions, FEAR started to initiate the attacks but the wall defense of ARMAS spoiled everything.

Five minutes of battle has gone, Taicho and Arbab decided that now it is the wolves turn. Taicho commanded Scout to take on the jeep’s position which is his favorite place of assault while Tibor and Tomdee started the harassment to right flanks.
